I stand corrected. However, the Genocide of the Jews comes after a 2000 year warm-up which makes it a bit unique. Still there were definitely others...but for whatever reason, the Jewish holocaust is THE Holocaust as far as the world is concerned...maybe just better PR...maybe just that it almost worked...after all it wasn't German Jews or Italian Jews or Danish Jews the Nazis wanted to kill...it was ALL JEWS.
The Turks were not trying to kill ALL CHRISTIANS...just the ones within their borders...and I'm afraid, from their point of view, and unlike the Nazis, they had real concerns about their loyalty...such has been religious solidarity with ones co-religionists when up against the pull of national feelings, If and when that "Nation" has a different religion than its minorities, as Turkey was Moslem and the Armenians and Assyrians and Greeks were Christian.
