The one or two of us I go out with have an understanding with me...we will behave ourselves at all times...no showing off, no scenes. I pay once...you pay another time...if we forget, we laugh and start all over again. By the time we each hit eighty I might owe twenty bucks or be owed thirty...who cares. Anything is better than watching two or more people rip each other to shreds in public, like they never went to a restaurant before in their lives and can't imagine how to behave or solve a silly math problem.
