I guess I didn't give that drawing that much thought, having done the original b&w drawing in 1997. Someone inquired about it recently and so I redid it in color. In this case, I got an image in my head and just put it down on paper as best I could. Thanks again for the criticism. I enjoy getting feedback from our great Assyrian artists. I'm in awe of all of you.
: : Dear Fred,
: : Thanks for the criticism. One of the reasons I post my artwork on the web from time to time is to get feedback on it. Another is so Assyrians can use it for magazines and such, if they wish. You said: "The message I come away with is that Assyria was turned into a Killing Field for that damn religion. Ashur crucified because of Christianity". I believe you've summed up the message of this particular drawing nicely.

: +++You are a gentleman of the first water...how that ever got to be a compliment I can't figure out, but there you have it.
: I don't mind us being crucified on a cross or a tree or a 55 Chevy. I don't like the image of us being crucified ON our Heritage. We were crucified on a JEW'S Heritage and not our own. Our glory and the gifts we gave freely to all Humanity came from that symbol...the Assyrian Star.
: Unless of course you are really saying we were killed BECAUSE of our Christian religion...in which case, I agree wholeheartedly.
: Write more often...I am getting tired of me.
