Let's get something straight. I am not Jewish, Christian or Muslim...I am Assyrian, plain and simple. I can't help it if you don't see many. I have nothing against or for Christianity, Judaism or Islam. I see much that is good and decent in all of them...and a whole lot that has been misused and abused in order to suit fanatics and hate mongers and killers among all of them. Any one of them is about as good as any other. I realize that offends some Christians and Jews and Muslims...but I find myself, as an Assyrian, offended by all three of them, and so we're even. If I can bear up under the strain, I don't see why the rest of them can't.

Where I do have a problem, and the reason I mention these religions at all, Christianity in particluar, is because I find Assyrian Christians so in love with Christianity that they refuse to recognize the ugly little fact that right now and for the last 12 years, it has been Christian nations that have been attacking and killing and starving MY PEOPLE in OUR Homelands. It would be nice if the Assyrian part in us, could make some protest against the Christian part, a part we only recently picked up...that is helping to support the Christian attacks on BetNahrain. That's all.

To the extent that Christian Assyrians go on and on about the atrocities committed By Islam over the centuries, while glossing over the horrors visited on Humanity by Christianity...including not uttering one word about the Assyrian children starved to death in Iraq by Christians when you all gather to "celebrate" murder victims and martyrs, then I feel compelled to point out that this is hardly Christian behavior...and not particularly Assyrian either.

Get off our backs...and I'll get off yours.
