Author of "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee", has died at 90. It's the best book on the treatment of Native Americans by The White House you can read...if you want to read just one.
In the obit there was a quote from him...said he never got over how trusting the Indians were of the White Man...how, in spite of all his lies and broken promises...they were ready to believe again and again. How they remained awed by authority to the bitter end.
Remind you of anyone?
Being a believer is good for the person who believes...not just for the one he or she believes in. Most virtues begin at home...and when they can't be found outside of it any longer...aren't in you either.
I say let's stick feathers up the arses of the Iraqi Opposition groups...including our own official patsies at ZOWAA, and declare victory anyway.
