Message from a friend,

CALL TO ACTION

From the organizers of the massive Jan. 18 Demonstration:

Protest Bush's War Mongering "State of the Union" address
to be delivered on Jan. 28:

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 29 5:00 PM
WESTWOOD FEDERAL BUILDING

Coordinated day after protests

Bush's State of the Union address will be a "war speech."
The speech has one function: to prepare the population for
war. That night, Bush will dominate the air waves and the
media coverage. The very next day, however, it is crucial
that people demonstrate in cities and towns throughout the
United States in coordinated actions to show that the
people reject Bush's State of the Union message.

Then,
STOP THE WAR -
through mass resistance the protest in Los Angeles and
around the world.

WEEK OF ANTI-WAR RESISTANCE,
FEBRUARY 13-21

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15

March and Rally

Assemble Hollywood and Highland at 1:00 PM

March to the Armed Forces Recruiting Station at
Sunset and La Brea for a Mass Rally

NO WAR!
Support Self Determination for the People of the Middle
East
Stop Government Attacks on Immigrants

Just as January 18 was the International Day of Action
anchored in the Untied States with coinciding actions in
33 countries around the world, on February 15 the European
movement has called for people throughout the U.S. and the
world to answer their call for mass actions that day. The
ANSWER coalition supports the call for February 15
demonstrations. We can stop the war by turning up the heat
with local, regional, national and global action.

FEBRUARY 16-20
Neighborhood Vigils, local picket lines, teach-ins,
collection of signatures in the Peoples Anti-War
Referendum (www.VoteNoWar.org)

FEBRUARY 21: Students and Youth Action on the anniversary
of the assassination of Malcolm X, a Coordinated Day of
Resistance - including student walk-outs from hundreds of
high schools and colleges - and other acts of
non-compliance. Malcolm X embodied the spirit of struggle
against militarism and the racist establishment. Honor his
life and legacy the right way: Resist!
