This press release more than any thing else to me looks like an intelligence report perhaps to Iraqi Arab and Kurds whether they are in opposition or part of the Iraqi government.
It only adds more shame to the resume of the individuals behind the press release.
I would not expect any thing else from Ghassan Hanna. But it would be interesting to know who else is behind this pree release and supports it?
Anyway this press release also shows that how these idiots try to use the weaknesses in Assyrian groups to rally the Chaldean moderates behind them. I warned Ms. Jacklin Bejan not use such not-responsible and provocative statements as "Chaldeans are sect" in her petition. It is so disappointing that I did not hear any thing in response to my critisim of the content of the petition while a while ago she was so fast in reacting to an anonymous email distributed to Assyrians. This really does not go well with claiming responsible leadership.
Now that the pertition is out. It is good to do an honest analysis of it. For sure the idea behind it was positive. That is to rally the Cathlolic Assyrians against ir-responsile move of their Bishop in the Chaldean church to politicize the church. However, it is obvious that it has not been able to attract any Chaldean moderate (may be just a few). And the reason is simple. Because the petition did not reflect their point of view. And even it might fire back and be used by these extremist idiots by shying more Chaldean moderates away from Assyrian camp.
