I understand what you're saying; however, not everyone has forgotten our martyrs. Just because our "leaders" have, that does not mean that we have. I, for one, will never ever forget our martyrs. I don't deem the individuals you listed as our "leaders" or anything similar to that. Our real leaders are in Iraq fighting for our eetoota. If they forget, that just shows that they are not real Assyrians. Also, just because you've seen some horrible things from people's so-called "Assyrianism", that does not mean that no one else has pure Assyrianism.

: : Today marks the day of the Assyrian, Armenian, and Greek (Hellenic) Genocide of 1915 by the Turkish Government. Agha Petros and the martyrs will never be forgotten.

:
: +++Correction...they have been forgotten, were long ago. They were just forgotten all over again when Assrins got wet all over thinking the West, the Christian West, was ONCE AGAIN going to save them.

: +++The Armenians in Turkey and other Christians were open to suggestions from all the Christians eyeing the Sultan's lands. We got pulled into it because we share their religion and it was that religion, then as now...that was being used as a smokescreen...when necessary.

: +++Had we learned something...did we really value those loses, we would have strangled Jackie and Firas and Peter and Nimrod and "Shorty" Golani in their cribs...or real soon afterward. There were plenty of similar jackasses back then who actually believed the Pope and other reformed Jews would come our rescue. Like it or not, we are of the MidEast and any benefits, any real and lasting ones, that may accrue to our people there will originate there and not in Washington or Texas.

: +++I won't say we had it coming...except to say we had it coming. World events and the machinations of nations are beyond our power to halt...but we can sure as shit learn to do a better job in covering our asses.

: :
: : Yours in Assyrianism,

: +++What I've seen of "Assyrianism" I wouldn't wish on a dog. I'll just greet you in the name of Humanity and cockroaches...in that order.
