My dad was explaining to an Egyptian friend here today that, unlike in Egypt, violent crime in the States usually occurs with very little motive. I.e. a man sees a car he wants, kills the driver at a stop light & drives off with the car. Or, a man sees a woman at a rest stop in her car, rapes & kills her, & then makes off with her wallet. NO reason. In other places, such as Egypt, such crimes would only occur if one party severely hated the other.

In this case, a guy with racist views just decides to kill African-Americans & end his own life - no real motive involving a true source of anger. Only in America.
