The point I was TRYING to make was that apparently, the problem of kids sleeping on the streets & sniffing glue has NOT gotten any better. Some of the kids are being fed by local shelters, but at the end of the day, the kids are turned out, only to sleep on the streets.
As far as that stuff about Saddam's treatment of street kids goes - who knows how much or if it is true. I only care about the situation NOW, & it is not good, at all, for those children.
