xxx What I meant is that kids who are selected as "intelligent" (though they are really selected for other things, too - parental salary, favoritism, etc.) to go on to high paying jobs think that they deserve these jobs & the money, because they are better than other people - not just that they have supposedly greater intelligence, but are also "better" than other people for other reasons, e.g. they think they are more moral than the poor. This is a snobbish culture where the snobbish mentality is cultivated on fakery.
