The title of this "book" is such an unfortunate choice. But if you try telling them so...you're a Tractor and a Disgroos...not to mention a Spike in the Pie of Saddam.
"Remnants of Heroes: The Assyrian Experience" by Sargon Donabed.
+++What happened to the rest of them...
ISBN # 0-9744450-7-X
Limited numbers of the book were sold at this past Assyrian National Convention in Chicago. Further printing of the book should be ready by this coming Wednesday.
The book charts the life, dispersion, and arrival to New England, of small but extremely important segment of the Assyrian people; the Assyrians of the town of Kharput, in modern-day Turkey. How these people escaped the Assyrian Genocide of WWI, integrated into American society, and yet managed to retain their identity is central to understanding the perseverance of these people. (From the overview)
Please support Assyrian authors and order the book.
