: Dear Stella,
: Has anyone ever told you that the "Shumirum" monument is "not Assyrian"...in California??? Just curious...

+++I asked him about that...he snorted and said "certainly not"...he says that a lot. He can testify too...it seems it is un-Assyrian to tell the truth or know much, or fight much, or understand much. To these guys being Assyrian means first of all being stepped on by your own people without complaint, then by anyone else who comes along.

It was Chinese mothers with broken and bent and taped feet who held their young duaghters while they in turn had their feet broken and folded under and taped. Can you even imagine how that must feel? I don't mean just the physical pain...but the broken heart you get realizing that the ones you want to love with all your young and hopeful and joyful heart could do such a thing to you...and you WOULD love them too...you'd have to because the real feeling would be a hatred of such magnitude that you'd die of it.

When the time comes, you would GLADLY hold your child still while her feet are broken...just to prove your sick parents hadn't been insane, but "really and truly loved YOU"...as you now MUST be loving your little girl when you hear the bones in her feet crack...while you pin her arms.

Assyrians do the same to the spirit of their children.

You have any idea how much self-loathing you have to have been raised with to do that to your daughter...yourself?
