I like these stealth attacks over there...this dragging of Assrin Heroes over here where we can have our way with them. Peter is waxing wroth over some doodle or other....
Some people change their name from Jassim to Betbasoo... some from Firas to Ross...some from Assyrian to Christian, some from Assyrian to American, some others from Assyrian to Arab, some from Assyrian to Iraqi.
No matter the name change...what is true remains true.
No matter what we call each other...we are we. I think what the gentleman wants you all to recognize is that you will not make an Assyria out of an Iraq...just as you can't make a silk purse out of a Jassim's ear. While you all fulminate and curse each other and argue about who has more of a right to nothing...others are doing and building and fighting and dying.
Your actions are living proof that you can't possibly be Assyrians. Since when did Assyrians behave in these ways? The Iraqi people...Christian and Muslim, having as they do by virtue of possession, the right to call themselves the desecendants of the Assyrians, Chaldeans, Babylonians and several other people of that region...are closer in spirit to the original occupants of those lands in their struggle to withstand the combined onslaught of the Uncivilized world...than you ever will...change and re-change and un-change all you want to.
The rest of you...eat your hearts out.
