On the one hand, having a daughter myself, I can understand parent's being concerned whenever their darling goil goes out the door. But someday you WILL go out that door.
What could be safer than to leave Chicago for a few days? And in Jeff you have a gentleman of the first water...what the hell does that mean, "of the first water"? And what's wrong with "second water"?
Any way...I understand your plight...but go anyway. Practise a little disrespect, it will prepare for you for life. Look what it did for me.
