If we knew the sum total of what the United States participated and set in motion and directed in South America for the last 100 years, and in Asia and in the MidEast and what it will do in Africa when that continent's turn comes...we would be sickened. They will tell you this is all for your sakes, that this is how they get you that "enviable" lifestyle...you know, where everyone is in fear of losing their jobs and the rest are a pay check away from the streets...and we have to put chips in our children to track them, and bars on our windows...where the air is unhealthy to breathe and we sit for hours breathing it and making it on freeways...they will say it HAS to be this way or you couldn't raise a child in peace...but it isn't true, not at all. They do this for their own greed...and they will cut you off and cut you out in a heartbeat when it suits that same sense of greed.
Capitalism is ALL about making money...and it stands to reason that as it gets harder and harder to make it legitimatly...or when markets and resources become scarce...they will resort to anything and everything to get that one step ahead of the competition...and we the workers...can be their biggest expense. Environmental hazards became so great, and regulations such a threat that they moved across borders...like the air is any different in the long run.
America does not need to mishandle the rest of the world, developing countries especially, to BE America...to be prosperous and healthy for its PEOPLE...but it DOES have to be rapacious and without conscience if it is to create as many zillionaires as it can...at your expense ultimately.
