Where was their power when they were being cooked in ovens...and only four years later they "won" their own country??? With what...money?
Balfour was an anti-Semite...they wanted to get rid of the Jews...killing them hadn't worked well enough...why not send them to Palestine...why not send someone there to disrupt the area...someone who would remain dependent on its hosts. You don't think the West needed oil back then? The Muslims for their part would have "hated" anyone...Dutch or Italian, who tried to take their lands...they certainly didn't "hate" Jews...been living with them and protecting them from Christians for hundreds of years.
To see Israel as a "power" is a joke. Take away their subsidies and leave them alone...and you'll see that state implode.
