Question #1:
Stella, darling, are you part of a group of people planning next year's Chicago convention?... You know, the famous Ali Abunimah lives in Chicago, so I heard.... Would it be possible to have him speak at the convention, & somehow manage it so that his talk is open to the public?
I've been to conventions like that - where 1 or 2 speakers gives a heavily publicized talk that is open to the public... usually as a way to give the public the chance to hear that person speak & to facilitate a bit of cultural awareness between communities. & Chicago has a huge Mid Eastern community, so perhaps other, non-Assyrian Mid Easterners would attend.
I know - he primarily focuses on Palestinian issues, but he could give a talk on Mid Eastern politics, in general. & I'd sure as hell love to hear him talk in person!
Question #2:
If I came to the Chicago convention, would you help me figure out how I can get a tour through some of Frank Lloyd Wright's homes? (Sigh...)... Pretty please? :)
