PALESTINE: The Other Apartheid
Day after day, as Israeli occupation forces continue to kill, attack and humiliate the Palestinian people, the U.S. Government arrogantly lays the blame for the conflict and responsibility for peace at the feet of the Palestinians. The apartheid policies faced by Palestinian people in the occupied territories and within the 1948 border of Israel are comparable to the hated system of racial segregation and total control that was the law of the land in South Africa. The International ANSWER coalition has launched The Commission of Inquiry into U.S.-backed Israel War Crimes against the Palestinian People, a national grassroots research project to document the crimes of the occupation and present a narrative of the Palestinian struggle that can serve as a counterbalance to the corporate media distortions of the conflict. Professor NASEER Aruri, noted historian and author on the history of the Palestinian struggle, will address the true story of the Palestinian people and the issues which surround the quest for peace with justice for the Palestinians.

TAMARA Rettino, a young, Jewish-American activist, will present stories and pictures of her recent journey to occupied Palestine.
LET IRAQ LIVE! The Bush administration is rushing towards a new war of aggression on Iraq, despite opposition fro the world community. The Gulf War killed 200,000 Iraqis, and 12 years of genocidal sanctions have taken the lives of over 1.5 million Iraqi civilians. A new wave of bombing and invasion will devastate the Iraqi population, which has already suffered too much under the U.S.’s brutal campaign. Hear from RAMSEY Clark, who recently led an International ANSWER Coalition delegation to Iraq and met with victims from the recent bombings. Learn more about actions to stop the war, and the upcoming Oct. 26 national marches on Washington and San Francisco.
