Unfortunate Lingo

I wish the church would stop calling us "Lay" people. Do they have to come out and say it like that?

And why "Rectory"? At a Creamery they make cream I guess...what do they make at a Rectory?

And really...A Seminary? What the hell goes on with Lay People coming through a Rectory into a Seminary?

That's too much honesty...even for me.
