There are four million people scared out of their wits around the metro Washington DC area...and all because of one sniper with one rifle and one car.

It just doesn't pay to have armies and navies...not unless you can afford them. The moral is...don't make people so desperate that they have little to live for.

About fifteen snipers could paralyze everyone in the country...

Who knows what motivates this guy...maybe he's paranoid and this is a pre-emptive strike against the people who might get him some day.

Do people really think you can push weak people around and they'll just take it? If you kill a man's family...what options do you leave him...or a woman's family? Do you really think he'll sit and watch TV from then on and forget about his wife and children?

What did we do after 9/11...forget about it? Didn't we muster every fiber to get revenge? Is it safe to think that only we in the world think and react as we do...and other people will be so odd as to say..."you just wiped out my family...okay, what else is new"? And that's ALL we're gonna hear from the guy?

The United States government has been asking for it for a long time...like they did in Vietnam...and they got it. Grenada and Panama were easy...so was the Gulf War where we killed our own soldiers. Now we think war is easy, it's glorious...you can have an "easy" win. No one wins...just the guys who shoot oil into our veins.
