People are getting paranoid. Yesterday out walking...two different groups of children looked up or turned around when I walked past Could see the tension, the relief, the worry, you know they've been warned. It's a "new" reality and they love to tell you to be a "realist"...stop dreaming or wishing or being an "Idealist"...which is what you are now if you think of walking out to your car upright, not ducking and weaving. Reminded me of New York whre everybody kept a sharp eye out for subway slashers and what not.
Children can't even feel safe in broad daylight...you could be a nut who will snatch them up anyway...or plunge a knife into them as you stroll by...or shoot them and run.
The ulitmate fear...being in danger in broad daylight, surrounded by people.
Repubs thrive in this sort of atmosphere.
