We have just received the following information from Mr. Aladin Khamis, AANF, Vice-president.
I regret to inform everyone that on October 15, 2002 early morning at 12:30 A.M. The village of Hee-za-neh in the region of Nah-la, (where the AANF aided and help fund the electricity for the region) was terrorized by 2 unknown Kurds, who viciously threw 2 destructive hand grenades in the Electrical Generator for the village, leaving nothing but destroyed remains of the electrical generator, and fleeing the scene. At this point in time the village has no power what so ever due to this cowardly act by the 2 individuals. As of today this is all the information I have heard, as soon as I hear anything I will keep everyone posted ASAP.
