As if the Archbishop would remember us, anyway... It was flattering to hear his comments - & we had fun joking around about our "pal" the Archbishop of Canterbury, who was our #1 fan, sending us fanmail by the boatload.
The fusion thing wasn't bragging, though - I like being musically "progressive," whereas, some people like to be very traditional - neither one is best in my opinion, except for the when it comes to what I *want* to play. Sometimes, for fun, I'd put some Pink Floyd on the stereo & do improv w/ my violin to it... That was always fun. :) I'm quiet these days on the board b/c I'm getting back into a practice schedule. Someone asked me to play at her wedding in March, & I'm not sure if I'll like my playing that much by then to do it (haven't practiced in a while due to exams). It's hard to find people to play w/ who let you do whatever you want to (the male singers in bands I've been in are complete ego-maniacs) & who even begin to understand what it is that you're trying to do. The all-girl group was my favorite b/c we were not competing w/ ea. other like the guys... we ea. knew our instruments & places, & we didn't try to cramp anyone's style.
