xxx Seriously, can't you just imagine what it looked like when man 1st learned to clap? His hands accidentally make a loud banging noise, & his friends huddled around a campfire at the mouth of a cave look over at him, wondering where the sound came from... he looks at his hands again, & hesitantly claps twice... his friends are *amazed.* It sounds like thunder! Especially the way it resonates all around them, bouncing off the walls of the cave like that... Then another man tries it, & lo & behold, it works! By god, it works! Try it out guys!!! (Or "ooga-booga ugha oo-oo" in caveman speak). Pretty soon, the whole swarthy lot of them are sitting around a campfire slapping their paws together repeatedly, looks of utter amazement on their faces, mothers telling their children not to look at the men, because they're embarassing themselves again...
