Paul Younan I mean....his response to a Hanna article.....

Shlomo Ahouno Hanna,

I agree 100% with what you said.

The only thing I would add is that we throw out denominational desginations altogether!

The reasons for this are simple. The original Assyrians belonged to none of the three major Christian denominations that exist today. They worshipped Ashur.

Secondly, there are Assyrians today who do not belong to those denominations. There are Protestants, Jews, Ashurists, Moslems, Atheists - you name it! For instance, I have a first cousin who converted to Judaism, but ethnically he considers himself to be an Assyrian (obviously).

Thirdly, and most importantly - as long as we remain to be the only nation in the world that classifies itself and divides itself along denominational lines, we will continue to be the laughing-stock of the middle east.

Zowaa should be a purely secular political entity!

Respectfully,
Paul Younan

+++I disagree with what he says about ZOWAA though...these "political" groups are made of the same dismal religious denominations...that's why there is so much feuding among them. They are still lashing out at each other over religious nonsense, as are the rest of us...they just clothe themselves in secular lamb's clothing.
