Another staple of our early diet was that Cuba was coming to get us...that Castro wouldn't rest till he attacked the United States.
Yet here we have been occupying one end of his island nation since we felt like it. He can't even get us off of his own island...and he's going to attack America?
He's been hated and feared because he defied the US...kicked out the Mob and ran his country for the benefit of his people...you'd have to become a tyrant to fend off the things the US does to countries down there.
Now we're using Guantanamo for a prison...and there isn't anything he can do about it. The tyrants we "hate" can't seem to do a thing to us...the ones we support have been our undoing.
The only threat Castro provided was his success at thumbing his nose at Uncle Sam...never was a threat to Americans.
