: Wouldn't an "agent" try to do exactly what you suggested?
xxx No. An "agent" would do that all the time, acting like a chameleon. I am only giving the advice that one ought to listen to one's instincts & act in a peaceful manner. I, personally, don't like to have *trying* conversations w/ someone when there is an imbalance of power in that other person's favor *&* when that someone has malicious motives. I walk away. I don't do this to everyone - only when my intuition tells me to. You don't need to "convert" that person to your side. You can't, anyway, if you tried. This is only advice for certain situations & for people who feel uncomfortable. This is not advice for everyone to follow at all times. That's why I mentioned that this was a scare tactic. I don't intend on holding my tongue, esp. not publicly. I have nothing to hide. But, I do intend on listening to my instincts, & if someone is acting in a threatening manner to me in *private* - in a place where I have no one to act as witness against that person - I will not provoke that person, but quietly walk away. It is the peaceful thing to do. Public forums are different from private rooms.
