Given Capitalism's rationale...you can't avoid getting here from there. When customers want to save a buck...at all costs usually...they've tipped their hand to their suppliers. It's only a matter of time before robbing children overseas provides more incentive than giving them a decent life at home.
It isn't anybody's fault but our own. We want those cheaper goods, and they can't be made in America...not if we're going to have a "merry" Christmas. It doesn't have to be that way, but so long as capitalists insist on a free market...meaning you don't tell them how to get you your goods...they'll do it with only profit as a standard of measure.
It's so simple it's banal and trite...like ruining the air we breathe so we can drive. We're the ones insisting on it, not Exxon...they just supply us, and take as much off the top as they can...don't you want strong companies???
