I'm not buying anything in the news any more. Next time they stand up a "fighter" in the Phillipines and tell me he's an Abu Sayaf operative and just might be the one who decapitated ten people...I'm going to see one poor bastard whose days from then on are going to be sheer misery. I don't trust any of them...I wont believe any of it.
It's the price they pay for having secret operations, and disinformation and "plausible deniability", all these years till I'm begining to feel like yesterday's bologna sandwhich. It doesn't reassure me any that all the major news channels have now inserted something like..."The Impartial and Fair News You've Come To Rely Upon".
You lose public trust once...it takes a long time to build it again. From Bush on down these guys have cynnically manipulated and spun till I got so dizzy I stepped off their ride...better that than ditzy too.
