That is stunning news indeed. Atom bombs were never as scary as nuclear waste and the all-too possible glitches and goofs any industry is plagued by. It's good to feel proud of Germans again...for something.

If the sun could be privatized you'd see solar energy all over the place...once you buy a gas operated furnace your relationship with the petroleum industry just begins...you'll be tied to them the rest of your life...that's the trouble with the sun...no one owns it.

I bought solar panels, converters and ten batteries two years ago and since then the sun has been shining on me for free. I have to replace the batteries every four years or so...but better batteries are around the corner. I can also go out in the country wherever I want and light my fire...and there are NO overhead wires and poles. It makes so much sense..that's why it's taking so long.
