....hooray for Beni Atoori and his sister and everyone connected with the film...to tell the truth I was fearful of how much standardized fare they`d have to turn it into to sell it..but at the bottom here there`s a piece of good news...

Log Line: Over seven thousand years ago, before it was called Iraq, before it was called Persia, before the writing of the Old Testament, before the age of the Pharaohs, ..Assyria was that land between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers; home to the hated King Gilgamesh. Thru thousands of years, GILGAMESH has endured as the oldest and most revolutionary work of literature known to mankind. This first-ever epic follows the warrior-king from his divine rise to power to his victories and struggles with the Gods; risking life and love on his tumultuous quest to find the answers to happiness and immortality.

What he found was much less mysterious than he ever expected.. and it was always there, right at his finger tips.

...THAT`S the statement. I just hope he doesn`t discover Jesus way before his time or some crap like that. If they`re true to the story it will highlight the significant difference between the Hebrew idea what people should do on earth..kill people for god..and what the Assyrians came to believe first...that heaven is here on earth...no point in killing people because they make you doubt you fairy tales by not nuying into them.

Assyrians had no reason in the world to develop the idea of a Messiah or even a heaven or a time on earth when they would get to rule..the meekly filthy and ignorant would rule..the Assyrians WERE ruling on earth..so where`s the point?

Instead they discovered that a person should be satisfied with his lot...and leave the gods to themselves. Especially that there was no bouncing up to heaven and being immortal or whatever..that`s childs play from the people who brought you flyng bugs as a delicacy.
