Basically,
yes many people died, especially Armeniand and Assyrians. But it was a time for conflicts, and although there is no excusing it, that is simply the way it is, and it is tragic. Like when the Germans invaded Russia. More than fifteen civilians died, and including the military more than 20 million people died. Yet when does Russia ask germany for an apology, yet half a million armenian civilians are killed, and they never let it go. One thing is to rememeber and not forget, another is to act like it was so horrible that no one else has ever suffered a similar fate. Why do Armenians kill Turkish citizens and officials today? They werent involved in the war 80 years ago.
Why do Armenians persist in behaving like a bunch of whining sheep. It happened, nothing you can do about it. Stop killing people for it today if those people had nothing to do with it in the first place. It is hypocritical. We all know what happened, that 600K or so Armenians died, that they were civilians. What else do you want? For the whole world to mourn for them? Nobody else cares, and as soon as they start to move on, they can understand that everyone suffers and that they might as well join the club. Welcome, and enjoy your stay.
Anyway, why did the Armenians try to take more Turkish land in eastern Turkey after WW1? Was there new country not enough? Something here reminds me of Israel using its 'holocaust' to gain land in Palestine....Something real fishy going on around here
Now, I *do* side with armenians in their claim, dont get me wrong, but they are trying to exacerbate it as if we all have to foot their suffering. Armenians I love, but propaganda I hate.
Take care.
