T.E. Lawrence, of "Lawrence of Arabia," wrote a harsh article rebuking the British government following its exploits in Iraq after World War I.

Lawrence's article, attached below, contains criticism that is quite familiar today. Lawrence's candid criticism could easily be applied to the United States:
