Monotheism = Monomania = Maniac

If you believe there is only one god and he happens to be yours...you've set a course for intolerance, hatred, bigotry and ultimately violence...but not just any kind of violence, "God-Sanctioned" violence..."mandatory" violence...violence as an instrument of the Lord to be used in furthering his claim to being the one and only.

How could it be otherwise? Has it been otherwise? How can you be tolerant of other people and their own gods? Isn't it a slap in the face to your own deepest held convictions if you give room for other gods? How can such a contradiction exist..how can you allow it to? Believing in one god is a prelude a pre-requiste to murder. Of course you must first "Evangelize"...you must take the "Good Word" to those misguided souls...but that's just a preamble. Either they give in and hand over their resources or allow you to govern their lands and "bring them along" in the new path they've wisely chosen...or you get to kill the unrepentant sons of bitches. What you can't alow them to do is turn down your god...for it makes a mockery of YOU and why should you allow these heathen pagans to MOCK YOU AND YOUR GOD?

The Hebrews get the credit for being the first to bring us Monotheism and it figures. They're the ones who couldn't war against anyone else so they took to slaughtering the neighbors, ripping open the bellies of pregnant mothers...and all for the One True God. We should have suspected it all along considering the source. Monotheism is a disease of fanatics, of zealots...a way to get themselves worked up into a frenzy and all the while convince each other they're killing you for your own good...because if you repent when faced with a choice of having your eyeballs ripped out and then killed, or just plain killed if you "see the light"...most people will see the light to spare themselves the additional pain and you get the satisfaction of saving their souls by sending them to your god for dafe-keeping, where they'll be a lot happier than if you et them go back home to their families filled with "error". And if they don't it means they were "stubborn" and steeped in their wrong ways and beyond hope of redemption and depraved ayway and best done away with and for refusing to receive your god's "mercy" you could rip their tongue out as well as their eyes before sawing them in half. I don't believe a single person was ever killed for not believing in Ashur. See the Inquisitors believed god would take an errant soul into heaven if it "confessed" its errors...even with hot pincers up the wazoo to encourage repentence...that way they had the satisfaction of saving a soul while disposing of its body...and incidentally taking all its valuables as well.

We kind of did that in Iraq...said whatever we did to them was better than what we told the world Saddam was doing to them...that was why it was "acceptable policy" to kill 5000 children a month...because they just would have suffered under Saddam...it was also the reason our own assholes got into the act dredging up every incident they could to reveal Saddam's violent nature while the Americans get off scot free for their violence because they own the newspapers and make up the news. (ZOWAA is just a modern version of the Levies, the last bunch of Assyrian "patriots" who set their brethren up for whatever abuse we've claimed since then our people suffered. Thank you ZOWAA). That's how you come up with the insane "policy" of burning villages in order to save them...it's more of the "saving their souls" business...ruin their lives but save them from an even worse fate, "Life"...under the wrong conditions. That's how compassionate Monomania makes you...you actually believe in absolutes...absolutely one god and absolute conversion to the right way or an absolute end of your error-filled life.

In the fifties the prase, "better Dead Than Red" was very popular. I always thought and I think the rest of the people thought that this refered to our own preference to die willingly rather than become that awful thing...a Communist. Now I know it meant we had an obligation to kill Communists or those in danger of becomming Commnists. It was better for US if they were all dead than communist and in that usual Christian round about way to murder through hypocrasy...it was better for them as well.
