>Most sensible Christian Assyrians, of which there must be a few out there, I'm sure, don't necessarily claim to be REAL Assyrians because they were the FIRST Christians... [Besides, anyone who calls Abgar V the Black 'Christian' is wrong: he wasn't Christian, he was a fan of the ideas taught by that reformist Jewish ascene.].....what they really mean is that the area where the ideas taught by the reformist Jewish ascene [hereby referred to imprecisely as 'Christianity'] were loosely centred around the area where 'real' 'pagan' Assyrians, like the heresiarch of the Encratites Tatian Atooraya, born in 110, lived.... mainly north Iraq and Turkish Mesopotamia... these areas were populated mostly by 'real' Assyrians, and these 'real' Assyrians converted to 'Christianity' in those early years, ergo the descendents of the converts must be 'true' Assyrians; besides, the Christian Assyrians are the only Assyrians that still call themselves Assyrian, and have always known they are Assyrians so they must be 'real' Assyrians......

***Back up...you science guys are like that...take off running and begging the question while you run. We established that there was no Christianity at the time of Abgar and for 100 years after they lynched Jesus. On top of that, though you and Christians may want to claim that Christianity is a whole other thing...it isn`t. It`s best parts come from elsewhere and are held in common with Hottentots and Cannibals...it`s silly dogma, consisting of..."Kill Christ, eat and drink him and you go to Jew heaven" (it`s where Yahwe is after all)...is as antithetical to anything Assyrian as there can be. Assyrians converted to Judaism that first century, starting at the very beginning and since then they just call it something different(Christianity) to fool anyone. No decent Assyrian in his right mind would ever renounce Ashur...why?

Please don`t confuse "goodness" with Christianity...it may come as a shock to you but Assyrians were good before Christ was born.

Christianity is just Judaism...and Judaism is a mish mash of our own stories and ideas as well as some from everywhere...but it IS Judaism...especially the human sacrifice part that says a young man has to be slaughtered for your sins to be washed clean...ancient Jew savages used to do that with a baby goat once a year...hence the term "scapegoat"...they`d line up on the edge of their sheepshit village with a baby goat in hand...they`d curse the poor thing and load all of their sins onto it`s little unoffending head, symbolically of course...then they`d tie up its mother and stone the kid till it ran from the village out into the wilderness of a "promised land" where it would die...the Jews when then went back to the village "clean"...and fucked each other`s wives and their own daughters for another year...by which time the village stank and they needed another good hosing down.

Please...you`re confounding good people and goodness in general with Christianity...and there`s just no call to do such a thing...as much as you might be under some pressure to do so.

***First you should un-plug whatever`s plugged up in you...then let`s talk some more.
