Farid,

How is it any worse - much more, how does it make someone a bad person - to do a good thing for "incentive," as you call it, than to do it "because it makes sense?" What do you MEAN by "it makes sense" except that it makes one happy? What do you think Heaven means besides that? It's was never thought of as only an "after death" thing; "the kingdom of heaven is among you now..." I know, I know... "How DARE" I use a Christian source to show what Christianity has to say?...silly me.

If someone dedicates her life to feeding orphans, is she WORSE for believing in heaven? Does that "incentive" ruin her compassion? Does thinking "as Christ gave everything to the world to show his love, so should I give everything for these kids" make her a BAD PERSON?

> responsibility for these fucking Evangelicals your church let loose on the rest of us.

There is no reason I or anyone should "take responsibility" for any Evangelical. If the Church, according to you, can't take any "credit" for all the good, sweet people who love the Church, because "they ALL would've been good and sweet anyway," why should I have to explain the actions of a group that explicitly hates the Church and attacks it at every opportunity?

> The promise of heaven and the threat of hell - which I believe are real, obviously - are the first kick in the pants for the selfish bastards whom Christ came to save.

>***Oh...so they`re bastards are they? Where`d that love for everybody go to?

Bastards can be loved, too, Farid. They're the ones Christ came to save.

Your tv pal,

Andy
