I'm sure you know I wasn't condemning the Assyrians...or any of the empire buiulders back then. In that day the encroaching barbarians, the nomads and hunters were a threat to civilization...and then of course there was the competition for the resources and trade routes. But those people built the structure and much of the edifice of Western Civilization. Today the developed powers are the Barbarians destroying peace and lives and abusing wealth and the entire well-being of the planet...not to build but to gorge and overeat...it's become a game where once it at least served aome useful purpose after the bloodletting was done.

I wasn't picking a fight with the Assyrians...far from it...just with the gall of any Western analysis that claims our ancestors were bloody...when they don't see what they're doing at this very moment.
