No fair Farid. That's like comparing apples and pineapples.

The Assyrians ruled in a time where there were no international laws. Where there was no International Criminal Court. Their aims were to preserve and expand their empire in order to bring peace and stability to the areas that surrounded them.

Had they been a superpower today and had there been international institutions to safeguard their empire, as there are today, and protect themselves they would possible never have needed to fight a single war or battle.

I wish the U.S. could say the same.
