While, on the one hand, the internet has the capacity to provide a forum for those of us around the world to speak and converse, and while it gives the "little guy" a voice against the "big guy", it has it's pitfalls.

My friend just told me about how one of his roommates, whom I have met in the past and who seemed like a normal, cool person, has recently been reading about white supremacy on the internet and who recently shaved his head and is becoming a neo nazi. How depressing.

I used to always dismiss those people who try to shut down the kkk and other sites, because, I thought only real idiots believed that stuff (and still think so), and that free speech is free speech, but apparently it works on some people who are otherwise normal.
