· Four Killed in Attacks on Iraqi Police
AP - 23 minutes ago
Special Coverage

As they braced for one of the season's first blistering sandstorms, some Marines also geared for battle, saying they were eager to avenge Wednesday's brutal killings of four American security contractors.

"I've got a lot of hate inside me, but I try to put that aside," said Sgt. Eric Nordwig, 29, of Riverside, a veteran of the battle that toppled Saddam Hussein (news - web sites). "We just sit and take it and be mortared."

...the poor dears...imagine...killing all those children in preparation for their attack..and the people there are MAD????

The time has come to "clean up the town," he said.

...well, you now know how the Iraqis feel...and this will only make it worse for everybody.

Marine officials have insisted that any military strike would be "precise" and "overwhelming."

...sure why not.

Col. J.C. Coleman, chief of staff for the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, said this morning that Fallouja was key to stabilizing central Iraq.

...Aprim would agree.

"Fallouja is a barrier on the highway to progress. We're going to eliminate that barrier without damaging the highway," he said.

...sounds real pretty...just show us the damage as you clean things up without destroying.

Coleman said the slayings of the four American civilians triggered a rethinking of Marine strategy.

...the killing of their children may have had the same effect on Iraqis and Muslims from "outside"...as they see how easily you people can do these things..as well as go across boundreis whenever you feel like it while you insist "outsiders" should stay out...till you`re done "cleaning up"...then it will be their turn and THEN they can be insiders...so you can pick them off one by one.

"The circumstances on the ground have changed…. Our operation as a result will change," he said.

...circumstances for Iraqis on the ground and blown up into pieces changed too.

There was no indication Friday that a Marine incursion into Fallouja was near.

...it won`t make things better...Bush and Sharon and the rest of them know that already...they knew it when they began. They don`t peace...they want perpetual war world-wide.
