: The first time my mother was ever wrong. She is
: always said to respect your elders
: regardless. You just proved her outright
: wrong.

...thank goodness she`s only been wrong once, I need only self-respect, everyone can else keep their`s for themselves...I could go on and zing you nicely after that comment but I won`t...never wanted to insult anybody....just keep the insults OFF of my Heritage..for instance, that we EVER went hiding in the hills waiting on a Jew.

Our mothers raised us differently, obviously. Mine always told me I should not respect people for their age, or their status or position...instead I should look to their SUBSTANCE for many a fool and bastard hides behind outward appearances...like all these Christians claiming to be Assyrians...so I look PAST that...to their actual behavior and thoughts and words...and I find a greater truth there than in any of the facades and Fronts they labor at. It isn`t pretty, but then Truth doesn`t have to be...it just IS.

But...she said...I would then open myself up to the same...that people would not respect me for anything I achieved UNLESS it was worthy in and of itself...which the Ashurbanipal Monument is...no matter how badly I am slammed..or whether I am a drunk or thief...that monument is there...and it`s whole purpose is not to glorify me..but to show signs of Life in us for the sake of our young people and to educate the millions of people who are looking at everyone else`s statues..and now have one of ours.

This achievement...which is a far more concrete fact than any you boys produce...stands on its own...nothing you do, though you try your damndest, can diminish it or the obvious fact that it took an Assyrian who is NOT any kind of a Christian to do it. These things speak for themselves...and that`s the best that can be hoped for...I don`t NEED your support.

The other monument..the one that has been stalled by Christians...will go up as well...only the third, the one of Hammurabi was destroyed and I did it myself...but don`t be surprised if that one doesn`t resurface...it`s a big world out here...away from the village.

I would prefer if you could show me where I was wrong. For instance, am I wrong in saying you only care for Christians killed when their killers are Muslims and never mention all those killed by other Christians? Am I wrong in saying no one here ever honored Majdolin or spoke up about her suffering and loss? Am I wrong when I say that historically NO ONE has killed as many Christians as other Christians have? These are things worth discussing...unless you don`t know or don`t care to.

So...my respect to your mother...she taught you well. But I think mine had a better way...for an Assyrian.
