Assyrian are mourning the death of legend of the Assyrian, writer, poet, educator, public speaker, community leader, omtanaya (patriot), and Assyrian Star, "Agounosta Ewan Gewargis", passed away at 5 pm on Thursday, October 16, 2003 in city of Arizona, USA. Born in Habanya, Assyria (currently is Iraq), in year 1941.

+++Okay...with all due respects...this guy died already, but these guys are killing us. In the first place just where did this guy achieve this long list of commedible titles? And if Iraq is Assyria then the guy didn't die in Arizona...he died in the Navajo Nation...Pima branch to be exact. This silliness is silly.

Late hero Ewan Gewargis won his struggle in uniting thousands of Assyrian towad love of Assyria, and his legacy indeed touches the whole Assyrian population and his death leaves an enormous void in the Assyrian community.

+++None of this is true. The guy is dead...he and his friends thought highly of him...and that's it. He didn't unite hundreds let alone thousands...maybe more like ten. He didn't touch the "whole" Assyrian population...I never heard of him as I'm sure the majority of us never did. These kinds of promotional tours we conduct through our empty heads are an indication that we would LIKE to be able to do all these things...but doing them is too hard so we "talk a lot" about it as if we'd done it...because "talking a lot" has become the substitute of choice for doing anything.

Late Ewan Gewargis well-spoken supporter of Assyria. He effectively gave the Assyrian community a voice. He advocated Assyrian toward unity, and perpetuation of Assyrian existence as well as protection from being melted down into becoming Arabitized, Kurdized, etc.

++++Also not true. This melting down is being done by Assyrians...not Kurds or Arabs. It's being done by us from countries and in countries where we're perfectly safe to do anything Assyrian we want to. In Arizona...where this guiy died, they're collecting five million dollars to build a neo-Jewish temple known as a Church...to a Jew god. They aren't doing anything Assyrian anywhere...except masking over their Christian idiocies behind an Assyrian name. The guy is a Christian...that's all. To praise him to the skies for being Christian resonates nowhere...but to claim his Christianity is a mark of his pure and true and extreme Assyrianism...is wishful bullshit.

A special chat room named "Assyrian star Ewan Gewargis" in paltalk chat is open for three days. Thousands of Assyrian visited that room, and express their condolency.

No disrespect to the fellow who died...but enough of these slurs and slanders made against our good name. These guys live as Christians..let them die the same way.
