that`s the delightful Spanish name for the KKK...

Thinking about the boys some more it strikes me that the Klan and they both use a mystic call to Jesus and all he supposedly stands for to mask their basic racism. The Klan hates Blacks,...probably hates them even more for daring to think they can be Christian..and the boys hate Muslims and hate THEM more for daring to be Assyrian...or being Assyrian, whether they talk a lot about it or no.

And to show no respect or reverence for Jesus is to not be worthy of respect yourself..or even of life...no matter how accomplished or humane you may be...refuse to abase yourself before that Jew and your life ain`t worth diddly to them.

Racists hate Blacks, but they hate the white person who doesn`t even more. The white person who could have all the exclusive privileges of being White but instead chooses to act towards Blacks like they were equals...this to them is a TRAITOR to his Race etc. Sound familiar?

To the boys, not being Christian is a massive insult to an Assyrian Heritage. As white supremacists adore Jesus because they believe he sanctions all their crimes done in "his name"...the boys feel the same way...they aren`t white supremacists...they are Christian Supremacists...and any crimes committed against Muslims, ESPECIALLY Assyrian Muslims..are okay by them...more than okay, they are GLAD.

The trouble with being glad when extra-legal means are used to attack the people you happen to dislike is that it weakens the rule of law as a thing in itself...a principle that must be upheld at all costs...making it instead something that can be bent and stepped over to suit you, the really GOOD GUY...and save you from those you dislike...the really BAD GUYS. This is why religious people love Evil so much...they love it because its presence..which only they can see...means "extreme measures" can be justified...because what`s being confronted goes beyond "mere" legal or illegal into a rarefied realm where the Law and due process just won`t do...where you need to put on sheets and hoods and ride in the night to kill and brutalize Evil...only there is no such thing as fighting Evil with Evil...all you do is make Evil stronger...which really means you break down the Laws and processes by which justice can maintain itself...and the vigilante justice you replace it with teaches others to do the same and everyone loses in the end...for a feel-good night of bloodletting.

I get the uncomfortable feeling too that people come away from the Passion movie convinced that Jesus hates the same people they do, meaning that the people they hate are the same people who killed Christ...or WOULD kill Christ. There`s a smug satisfaction, as if this movie PROVES they were right all along...right in hating anyone who doesn`t follow Jesus...no wonder Jews are upset...so are Assyrians, non-Christian ones of course.

But...on the bright side and taking a lesson from the Jews...who should be seen as their allies, Afro-Americans have filed a billion dollar lawsuit against the United States government...following in the footsteps of the Jews who sued Chrysler and Farben and Krupp and all those banks that profited from their slave labor.

A government may make itself immune from that kind of suit...but private companies and fortunes derived from slavery...of Jews or Blacks...cannot. The saga that is slavery is not over...and might never be...for any action in one direction will have its reaction..it`s a good object lesson for us all if we`ll learn it...the law of Karma...you can never get away from yourself and what you do.

For the same reason the United States will suffer for the illegal war it launched...with any luck we can stop them from doing it again...but this one time was enough...enough for them to pay for a long time. You can`t murder people based on ANYTHING, there IS no good reason to do it...but based on obvious and absurd lies,,,,hastily patched together in your eagerness to murder them...children especially...is something you won`t ever escape..I don`t mean Bush and his pals..these people are inhuman...I mean those same "Good Germans" every country has who stand aside and hope their ignorance will save them from responsibility..but that was settled too...at Nuremburg...you cannot use, "I was told to" as a defense...and neither can you plead ignorance when the smokestacks are covering your town in ashes and you see your neighbors disappearing before your eyes...even if you hate them. EVEN if they are hateful.

And you can`t have a government that issues a policy that says the death of 5000 innocent children a month is "acceptable". if that is indeed the new and acceptable definition of "acceptable"...then look for more of the same. A society comes apart under this kind of stress...even if it pulls together for a month or two when the lies are the thickest. There is nowhere you can escape to..if not you then your own children will pay the price.

Justice has to exist as a principle first and for ALL...before you can have recourse to it. Without that it`s just mob-rule...possibly in your favor today...but just as easily aganst you tomorrow.
