I am not sure. I only responded to what was posted.

On the other side, the USA made a mistake not going into Baghdad in 1991 and finish the issue then.

..you mean they could have killed our people for you even faster? WhatĒs your hurry?

May be President Bush, the father, was concerned about re-election for second term and did not want to be in a state of war by the time of the 1992 elections and he decided to stop military offensive while declared a victor in a way (having kicked Saddam out of Kuwait).

...I don÷t recall him declaring Victor anywhere. WhoĒs Victor? Are you saying that since we ARE in a state of war now..against children, that elections should NOT be held? Are you on board for that one too?

I am not sure what the reasons were for ending the war prematurely. However, for 8 years, the Democrats and Bill Clinton toyed with Saddam and then the sanctions and it was during that period that Islamists grew in Iraq and Kurds became more powerful than ever (especially the KDP) while Iraq went into decay.

...Iraq was never in decay since before that first Bush attacked, it was these warlettes and bombing raids and contiued threats and the long slow drawn out agony of death by starvation brought to Iraqi children to "inspire" their parents that HAD to be spread out over time like womenĒs legs were spread by Americans that were intended to inflame passions and make people furious and "decayed" with anger and dreams of revenge...it takes a little time to do that, look how long you boys have been working at it.

..Iraq was doing very well..had billions in reserves, was building hospitals and schools at a faster pace than the United States , had better health care coverage, excellent universities...had museums and was re=building our ruins and treasures...the decay started with the Americans making money off of the war between Iran and Iraq THEY instigated..just like this one was done to make them money.

...prior to 1990...before all these ills and decay you mention Iraq was in the best shape it will be in for a long long time..and YOU couldnĒt forgive them for it because they didnĒt need YOU to make any of it posible.

..The United States has brought nothing but ruin and death and starvation and poverty to Iraq and if they "dragged it out" and "toyed" with Iraq..it was only make the devastation complete...unfortunately it had the effect of steeling the resolve of Iraqis and while they will kill any nimber of people, Americans included, in defending their homeland..Bush doesnĒt care..he got his, you got your"s...there are plenty of Americans for Bush to send to their deaths for his pals and their money.

Things are bad in Iraq today, still, lets keep the above in our calculations when we decide in November.

...Oh we WILL...you can bet on it. If Bush had to steal the last election...imagine his chances of winning this one...all he can do is what Guiliani tried when he decided the city needed him too much and should just keep him in office...there will be plenty of orange and red alerts..and I hope they work..nothing will expose Bush or you faster than if we give you what you ask for.

How many MORE soldiers do you want sent to Iraq?

Fred
