...it has to feel odd knowing your audience doesn`t believe a thing you say... Bush Urges World to Unite With Iraq ..tha`s funny...a while back he was begging them to ATTACK Iraq... By TERENCE HUNT, AP White House Correspondent UNITED NATIONS - President Bush (news - web sites), defending his decision to invade Iraq (news - web sites), urged a vast assembly of world leaders Tuesday to stand united with the country's struggling government and said the proper response to spreading violence "is not to retreat, it is to prevail." The country's prime minister, Ayad Allawi, offered an upbeat assessment after Bush's speech to the General Assembly of the United Nations (news - web sites), saying, "We are winning, we are making progress in Iraq, we are defeating terrorists," even as insurgents claimed they had killed a second American hostage in two days. Of the brutal slayings, Bush said, "We will not allow these thugs and terrorists to decide your fate and to decide our fate." ...what a joke. The world has said they fear Israel as the greatest threat to world peace...Iraq is nowhere near the top...and who supports and excuses Israel..you got it...the nation that is making the world a safe place. ...Everyone can see for themselves who the criminal is...they know Iraq is over and done with...they know the Freedom Fighters are getting stronger...they know their success rate is growing...if our own Freedom Fighters could defeat the greatest empire of its day...the Assyrian Mahdi Army can defeat the greatest empire of its day...but this war isn`t being fought to be won..it`s won already...it was the day the Treasury was cleaned out... Eisenhower left at just the time the Commie Fear Factor was exploding onto our heads...the "terrorist" hornswaggle of its day..sort of like Rome being "terrified" of its slaves..and for good reason also. Eisenhower didn`t warn us about rice farmers and Latin peasants too poor to eat...he didn`t warn us of enemies from the skies..and he was in the best position to know..instead we warned us about US...about the war profiteers...about the partnership of the military brass and the companies who make weapons..he knew that once they had tasted easy money they never could get over it..and he feared in time they would come to dominate government..and in Bush we`ve got a war profiteer as a sitting president. When could we have imagined that two presidents, from one family and this close in time...would have such deep friendships and business dealings with the rulers of the country whose people attacked us? And that we`d help their nationals ESCAPE our country by his command?
