DonȘt get offended...any more than I do when I endure these stories...but I donȘt believe your story. I believe YOU believe it and I believe your 12 yeard relative believed and I KNOW your priest believed it and I believe it got written up in a Syriac manuscript and was included in a book by an intinerant missionary...but I donȘt believe it happened that way.

Had Simele been an instance of a few people being killed and did the Iraqi army have scimitars, I have no doubt we would today be talking about someone elseȘs relative who was three and was given the choice to renounce Jesus or die. IȘM sorry...I donȘt believe in tortillas that have the Virgin Mary on them either and I never believed that silly shroud of Turin...of Jews dancing to heaven. Call me lacking in Faith...and you got it right...IȘm not here to service any priest...in ANY way. IȘll keep my wits and my reason and IȘll blow these priets out of the water every day of the year.

The number of times weȘve heard the "babies on scimitars", even when people didnȘt have scimitars... not to mention bayonets..and who can forget, "babies out of incubatots", well...and you all BELIEVE what you want to. I believe what I SEE...or what sounds plausible and reasonable, given a whole host of criteria one picks up along the way that are as useful and sophicticated, or not...depending on how sensible and sophisticated people have made themselves.

You want a serious researcher into viral disease, or immunology or pathology, you donȘt go to a Sunday School...and you donȘt take expert witness testimony from 12 years olds whoȘve been horribly traumatized...but if you want miracles and martyr stories to warp young minds...YOU warp young minds and youȘll have them forever.

I think those people were killed outright..possibly in retaliation for what some asshole somewhere did...or the authoritize THOUGHT he did.,..as happens still all over the world...as the United States went to war and killed thousands of MY people, but not yours, because they BELIEVED there were WMDs and YOU believed it too. Preemptive murder, even of 12 years olds is not exclusive to the Turks..it is alive and well among YOUR people today..your Christian people who all lied right along with Bush and voted for him and brought this day to pass...because you BELIEVED when there was no reason at all to...but then you have FAITH and that kind of faith breeds murder...finally now of YOUR people who got killed in their churches this week for your FAITH in Bush.

I believe the boy was indeed rescued from among the dead...I am willing to believe the girl was kidnapped and never seen by him again and IȘm sure she got no worse a marriage than any number of Assyrian girls do today who marry an Assyrian man from hell...but I donȘt believe the matryr nonsense...I will not slander those parents so as to say they prefered death and the death of their children to saying ten words they could easily have recalled later...after all...no one aksed them to committ murder in the name of Islam...just give a false pledge...under no oath whatsoever.

You mean you wouldnȘt teach your daughter to do that? If sheȘs abducted and faces five deranged men who tell her to repeat the Mickey Mouse song...or a chant in praise of Allah..or repeat a blasphemous joke aimed at Jesus..or she gets raped by every one of them till she WISHES she was dead...you would in all honorable seriousness tell her NOT to?

Because if that is the case..you are criminally negligent among most civilized people and belong back with YOUR people..all bloodsucking Turks and Christians who EVER lived.

I have no doubt a priest got to the boy and in the state he must have been in..induced him to think of his parents as having done the RIGHT things..and since they were dead it wouldnȘt be difficult to convince the boy that their last act on earth was NOT weeping and bewailing the loss of their childrenȘs parents and pleading for their lives..perhaps even OFFERING to turn Muslim if that would save them...and the boy was more than relieved to think of his parents as martyrs...when he could see pretty well and knew already what that priest and the whole village would say if they KNEW or even suspected that the parents had "sold out". After that it would be no big deal to ask the boy again if the same hadnȘt happened to him...had he too been given that choice and did he carry on in the same PROUD tradition, for Jesus, that cost his parents their lives, hint hint... AND was soon to make legends of them...any kid would have gone along...and kept going along out of shame and guilt.

I donȘt believe a one of these stories...I believe people were murdered in cold blood. No one wants a "convert" under those circumstances..they just want to humiliate, but more than that...KILL...probably because the Europeans were coming to kill THEM and NO European was saying..."Give up Islam"....they were saying, "Give up those oil fields OR ELSE"...and they didnȘt give them and they fought for their lands and integrity...so you see the Brits martyred ALL the Turks.

Go away with this pablum the church taught you. ItȘs becomming embarrassing. I wonder how your child feels knowing from now that youȘd sell HER OUT before youȘd sell your JEW OUT.
