Finally. The first one from a non-Assyrian source...in 20 years. A really nice couple from Mexico City...a long story to make short...I was broke busted down here when Jackie, Nimrod and Golani got done with me...and then I was facing serious prison time because of that Gringo crook...and Narsai David picked that time to put the screws to me as well..so in desperation and cause I was waiting for my other legal case to end so I could pay my lawyer...I made her a portrait of Don Quixote, as an inducement to do the legal work, who she`s mad about.

An associate lawyer of hers out of Queretaro saw it in her office, asked if the fellow who made it could make a unicorn...becasue his sister is crazy for them..and almost a year later we inked the contract and three weeks ago I actually started the piece.

The space is so cramped the photos come out a bit distorted. Anyway, it`s a treat working for non-Assyrians only because these particlar people value the Arts and don`t treat sculptors as if they were con men or clever thieves. They actually EXPECT you to make your own aesthetic judgements..they know the difference between the cabinetmaker they hire and an artist they commission...unlike our Atour Golani who took it upon himself to have my sculpture welded the way he saw fit...who am I? That`s why we have so few and such poor artists, in every way. Anyone with a passion for his art would steer clear of Assyrians...only because I`m the biggest bastard Assria ever saw did I wade into the cesspool....and I got slimed royal, as everyone told me I would..but then that`s what we`re going to have to do if we want to de-Jassim this Heritage. And it was worth it and I`d do it all over again..providing I could be as naive as I was the first time around.

You can`t quite tell yet...but this is an Assyrian unicorn..not a Christian horse with a cerebral hard-on...much like the boys carry around wherever they go...I swear there isn`t a one of them who gets a decent lay..I think that`s what`s behind their nationaldoodles. I`m adding little Assyrian touches...why not? I`m Assyrian...

Anyway, the people come to see it next week and then I can wrap it up, make moulds and waxes and get them to the foundry in Mexico City.

Maybe there`ll be more where this one came from.
