Here are some quotes from Parhad, the historian, on how Assyrians were "raped" into Christianity by "Roman Soldiers!" Keep in mind, Khizmie Dean, the map above when you read these quotes clearly shows that both Assyrians and Armenians lived OUTSIDE of the Roman Empire!

From http://www.insideassyria.com/rkvsf2/wwwboard/msgs/The_Great_Assyrians-ADEX.html :

"There is no answer to this..because they didn`t go to Jesus willingly, as a People, but were raped and beaten into Church like everyone else was by the Romans...that wasn`t their "fault" any more than it was the fault of the Africans and New World Natives who were also forced into Christianity at the point of a sword."

From http://www.insideassyria.com/rkvsf2/wwwboard/msgs/That_Christian_Thang-25Vh.html :

"We see in African adaptations of Christianity echoes of their own long forgotten rituals...variations subtley attached to mainstream Christianity to allow them to save a little of what they once had and don`t remember. In the same way Assyrians who were raped into Christ attached to the religion forced upon them, distant memories of their own religion and ceremonies. That`s why they`re able to say, in all seriousness, that Christinity is "close" to Ashurism anyway...it`s pnly "close" because they brought to it elements of their own religion..as an act of defiance and to keep a bit of their own ways.

The part of the resurrection of Jesus and the role of Mary Tiglath has already outlined . This was nothing more than Tammuz and Isthar. The Romans, who made Christianity what it is today had these elements from the Greeks as well, who may well have gotten them from us to begin with. If you aren`t weepingly gratefull to the Romans for destroying Assyrian culture you`ll see how much all those bastards stole from us."

In fact, Dean, this is the very reason I simply had to break my silence. For years I've "lurked" on this forum and read garbage after garbage from Parhad, trying to impress everyone with his loud words and his typical neo-Pagan abrasiveness....but I just HAD to speak up on this one!

Don't bother. Parhad and his like are uneducated idiots who will believe "Roman soldiers" "raped" us, and apparently even the Armenians who also lived outside of the Roman empire, into Christianity - simply because he cannot believe that people willingly dumped his stupid idols for the REAL God.
