It's great to see a Christian finally make the distinction between a Christian and an Assyrian.

Now in order to assist you may I recommend that you start with the Bible;
1. You do realise that the Assyrian antecedent of Noah is none other than Napishtim from the Epic of Gilgamesh who collected two animals of every kind and built an ark.
2. Just as the Babylonian King Hammurabi's code of laws preceded Moses's abridged Ten commandments.
3. Just as the Akkadian poem, I Will Praise the Lord of Wisdom (Ludlul bel nemeqi) which deals with the problem of the righteous sufferer, was written before the Book of Job.
4. Let's not forget the ancient Sumerian love poems written to commemorate the sacred marriage of the Godess Ishtar and God Tammuz appears to have been plagarised in the "Song of Solomon."
5. As well as this it was the Akkadian King Sargon who was found floating down a river as a babe years before Moses.
6. It was also the God Enki(Ea) who came down and forced people to speak in tongues way before the Jewish god Yawheh came down and stopped the tower of Babel.

Actually most of that book, except for Psalm 137:8-9, has been heavily influenced by the ancient Mesopotamian myths epics and poetry. The only reason why I can't prove it now is becasue most of our ancestors' cuneiform tablets lie buried in the sands of Iraq.

Meanhwile let's not forget;
1. Baptism which was conducted during the summer solstice to wish a happy return to the dying God Tammuz.
2. Easter(Ishtar) and lent, which commemorates the resurrection of the God Tammuz from the netherworld.
3. Christmas which celebrate the birth of Tammuz during the winter solstice
........and that's just off the top of my head.

Actually there isn't much Western and Christian culture left if we were to remove it all.

Hell.....you probably didn't know that the Statue of Liberty the very symbol of America was based on Libetine, the Roman Goddess of Liberty who's antecedent is the Greek Aphrodite who's antecedent is Babylonian Ishtar the Goddess of sexual liberties and of immigrants and outcasts.
